The Cottage

Our luxuriously appointed and beautifully situated Pheasant Cottage comfortably sleeps four while maintaining a cosy, relaxed feel.

Floor to ceiling French windows open onto the South facing terrace for warm, sunny days. For chillier evenings there is a radiating flame stove with squashy sofa and chairs gathered around it. The double height, beamed sitting room has a complete entertainment system and you’ll find a comprehensive library of DVDs, books and magazines. The dining area has an antique gate leg table and chairs for four and the bright modern kitchen is fully fitted with everything you need for those days when you want to eat in or entertain friends.

The pretty ground floor bedroom is light, bright & sunny and includes an en suite bathroom with cosy underfloor heating. French windows open directly onto the private beautifully secluded cottage gardens. The ‘zip and link’ beds can be zipped together into a king sized double or unzipped to make matching twins.

On the first floor the large attractive Master bedroom retains the original oak beams from the 17th century barn and has delightful views across the private cottage gardens and extensive main grounds. The ‘zip and link’ beds can be zipped together into a king sized double or unzipped to make matching twins

The upstairs bathroom is light and airy with bath and over bath shower, beautiful tiles, heated towel rails, plenty of fluffy towels and a complimentary basket of gentle Aloe skin and hair care products.

We kindly ask guests to arrive no earlier than 3pm
and to depart by 11am.

  • Ground floor bedroom: TV, walk in wardrobe, bedside radio, dressing table, hair dryer, iron and ironing board plus zip and link beds
  • Upstairs bedroom: TV, wall of built-in wardrobes, dressing table with hair dryer, bedside radio and zip and link beds
  • Washer-dryer on mezzanine level
